TV To Go! independent mobile television becomes the media partner of the Russian popular internet movie award Georges
«Georges» — is the first Russian non-commercial movie award to be established by bloggers, based on voting by regular viewers, not on the opinions of movie critics. The award was established in 2005 by three Russian bloggers from Livejournal.com.
The aim of the «Georges» award is to give moviegoers the opportunity to vote for their favourite films and actors.
In 2007 the award really came to life, with such famous actors as Johnny Depp and Christian Bale receiving their «Best Foreign Actor» prizes in person.
This year voting will start on 1 February and will run until 28 February.
The very idea of viewers voting for a winner goes hand-in-hand with the TV To Go! mission of broadcasting unlimited mobile TV worldwide. We believe that quality auteur video should be universally accessible. We thus enhance the content of our channels at movie markets and film festivals, in the databases of major copyright holders and among independent producers.
Among other events of this cold Russian winter is going to be the underground music festival WRECK’N’THUNDER which is to take place in REVOLUTION Club in St. Petersburg on 21 February.
The festival will showcase all manner of music styles.
Headlining at the festival will be the Austrian horror punks BLOODSUCKING ZOMBIES FROM OUTER SPACE
TV To Go! is at the cutting edge in media technologies, supporting the most daring projects out there. Stay tuned!
